Langdale Lightweights Racing Team.
The year is not quite over, but my word what
a year it has been!
Where do I start......?
Ladies first ' Sarah King ' what
a rider a bronze medal in the Junior Road
race championship behind Hannah Barnes.
A memorial day for me was the Ladies Circuit
Championship at Preston, Sarah was to perform
brilliant
Finishing 7th but was right in the
mix to the line another great win for Sarah’s
rival and friend Hannah Barnes.
A week later Sarah was to go to Belgium and
to record her first win and force Hannah
into second place a really cracking ride
that will be a spring board for the future.
Well I really did believe that Sarah’s
season would lead to bigger things and I
am very pleased to say that it has.
Sarah will next season be riding for what
will be the strongest ladies team in the
country, with her friend and now team mate
Hannah Barnes.
With a team alongside her will be a real
force to be reckoned with.
I am sad but incredibly proud that Sarah
has got this opportunity as Sarah you have
been the perfect ambassador for Langdale
.
I will personally miss your blogs as I now
many others will, but will follow with career
with pride and interest.
The very best of luck next season.
Chloe has had a good year and as I write
this has just come back from the World Triathlon
championships and came 5th in her age group.
Very well done.
I’m sure things will really start to
get going for her and with a couple of years
left as a junior a great future is in front
of her.
Paul had a mixed start to the year with illness
and a crash that could have finished things
before he had started.
But a great day at Darley was had and I got
a real bus out of watching Matt and Paul
riding for each other and Paul ending up
the winner and the first rider to win for
Langdale RT.
Too many quality rides to talk about but
another win a week ago and a point’s
tally of 146 things are looking really good.
Matt will not mind me saying that he has
been so consistent and things have been good
all season, really good placing in Elite
racers a fantastic win that I had the pleasure
of watching both Matt and Paul totally dominating
the race from start to finish with Matt taking
a well-earned win.
Matt finished the season with an impressive
120 points and a 1st cat licence.
Jack King, Sarah’s brother is only
14 but looks like he has been riding for
years, a great prospect.
A Bronze medal in his 1st circuit champs
a win that I watched at Preston and a winter
of cyclo cross in front of him things are
really exciting.
Up and coming youth rider Callum Bramley
is also one for the future with various top
placing this year and a 2nd at the weekend
next year will be interesting for him.
